Cep Ingilizce için hazırladığım düzensiz fiiller (Irregular Verbs) listesini buraya da koyayım dedim. Listede düzensiz fiillerin bir listesi var. Nedir bu düzensiz fiiller? İngilizce’de fiilin 1. hali dışındaki zamanlar (geniş, geçmiş vs.) fiillerde yapılan değişikliklerle belirtilir. Bu değişiklikler düzenli fiillerde (Regular Verbs) kelimenin sonuna -ed gibi ekler getirilerek yapılırken düzensiz fiillerde kelime tamamen değişebilir.

Düzenli fiil örneği:
open – opened – opened

Düzensiz fiil:
begin – began – begun

Düzensiz fiillerde kelime her zamanda tamamen değişebilir, aynı kalabilir veya hem değişip hem de düzenli fiil benzeri davranış gösterebilir, yani -ed eki alır.
